Oxford Summer English Language Programme

In summer 2026, 20 HKU SPACE Community College students participated in an enriching 10-day Oxford Summer English Language Programme at Hertford College, University of Oxford.  Through engaging lessons and interactive learning activities, students not only strengthened their English language, but also gained greater confidence in both academic and everyday communication.

The experience extended far beyond language learning.  Students immersed themselves in British culture through exciting excursions, including visits to London’s iconic landmarks and authentic Oxford traditions such as punting and afternoon tea.  The programme concluded with student presentations that showcased their progress in English, as well as the friendships, insights, and memories they had gained along the way.

More than a study programme, the Oxford experience inspired students to step outside their comfort zones, develop greater independence, and cultivate a global perspective.
